Betul is blessed with rich Satpura forests that hold the soil together, recharge our rivers and shelter wildlife. But pressure from firewood collection, encroachment and changing rainfall has thinned green cover in many areas. Restoring trees is one of the simplest, most powerful things a community can do for its own future.
बैतूल को समृद्ध सतपुड़ा वनों का वरदान मिला है जो मिट्टी को बाँधते हैं, नदियों को पुनर्जीवित करते हैं और वन्यजीवों को आश्रय देते हैं। पेड़ लगाना समुदाय के अपने भविष्य के लिए सबसे सरल और शक्तिशाली कार्य है।
What we do / हम क्या करते हैं
Native-species plantation / देशी प्रजातियों का रोपण
We focus on local, hardy species — neem, peepal, mahua, teak, amla and fruit trees — that survive Betul's climate and benefit both people and wildlife. Mahua and amla in particular support tribal livelihoods and traditional foods.
हम नीम, पीपल, महुआ, सागौन, आँवला और फलदार पेड़ जैसी देशी प्रजातियों पर ध्यान देते हैं जो बैतूल की जलवायु में टिकती हैं। महुआ और आँवला जनजातीय आजीविका और पारंपरिक भोजन का आधार हैं।
Each sapling gets a guardian / हर पौधे का एक संरक्षक
Planting is easy; survival is the real work. Every sapling we plant is adopted by a family or student who waters and protects it through its first two years — the period when most young trees are lost.
पौधा लगाना आसान है, उसे बचाना असली काम है। हमारा हर पौधा किसी परिवार या विद्यार्थी द्वारा गोद लिया जाता है जो पहले दो वर्षों तक उसकी देखभाल करता है।
The wider benefit / व्यापक लाभ
More trees mean cooler villages, cleaner air, less soil erosion, better groundwater and a return of birds and pollinators that farms depend on. Tree cover is climate action that anyone can join.
अधिक पेड़ों का अर्थ है — ठंडे गाँव, स्वच्छ हवा, कम मिट्टी कटाव, बेहतर भूजल और पक्षियों व परागणकर्ताओं की वापसी।
Join a plantation drive / वृक्षारोपण में शामिल हों
We hold community plantation drives through the monsoon. Schools, youth groups and families are welcome — bring your hands and we provide the saplings and guidance.
